Upcoming are two lectures I will give on two different occasions in Flandres, centred around the Transition festival (although the second will take place some time afterwards). In both lectures (that will be in Dutch) I will connect the ideas behind the ‘circular economy’ with the philosophy of the commons.
October 27: Keynote, Trefdag Re:Culture, Brussel
On October 27 Pulse Transition Network organises their fifth ‘trefdag’ (meetup day) around culture and transition. Re:Culture, this year’s theme, focusses on the circular society, as the cultural sector’s contribution to the Transition festival which this year has the theme ‘our circular economy’.
November 9: Lecture at Manufactuur 3.0 exhibition, Z33, Hasselt
“With MANUFACTUUR 3.0 Z33 searches for new production models in a fast changing world. Digital revolutions, ecological awareness and shifts in the fields of work and labour encourage us to rethink the traditional industrial production model. MANUFACTUUR 3.0 brings designers and artists together to work around alternative production scenarios. The exhibition functions as a production platform, continuously in progress.”
